ChatterVOX Amplio - Flashing Red Light while charging
A flashing red light on a ChatterVox Amplio amplifier charger generally indicates a
charging fault, rather than normal operation. While a solid red light usually indicates charging, a flashing light means the system has detected an abnormality.
Common Causes
- Check Connections: Unplug and re-plug the charger securely into both the wall outlet and the ChatterVox unit. Ensure there is no debris in the charging port.
- Reset the Charger: Unplug the charger from the wall, wait a few minutes, and plug it back in.
- Check Battery Condition: If the battery is old (e.g., over two years), it may need replacement.
- Try a Different Outlet/Charger: Ensure the charger is working properly. Using a high-power charger (like a 3A brick) on a device requiring less may cause a fault, so try a standard 5V charger.
- Allow to Cool: If the device is hot, let it sit for 30 minutes to cool down before trying to charge again.
