Use this procedure when your compatible hearing aids or sound processors do not yet have a digital Roger receiver licence installed.
The licence must be installed into each hearing device separately.
Charge and switch on Roger On 3.
Switch off both hearing aids.
Keep Roger On 3 close to the hearing aid during installation.
Install the licence into one hearing aid at a time.
On Roger On 3, press and hold the following two buttons at the same time:
The large centre multifunction button
The Connect button with the chain-link symbol on the back
Hold both buttons for approximately two seconds.
Release the buttons when a flashing hearing-aid symbol appears on the Roger On 3 display.
Switch on the first hearing aid.
Place the hearing aid close to Roger On 3.
Keep the devices together while the digital Roger licence is installed.
Wait until a tick appears beneath the hearing-aid symbol on the Roger On 3 display.
Switch off the first hearing aid.
Press and hold the multifunction button and Connect button simultaneously for approximately two seconds.
Wait for the flashing hearing-aid symbol to appear.
Switch on the second hearing aid.
Place it close to Roger On 3.
Wait for the installation to complete and for the confirmation indicator to appear.
Switch the first hearing aid back on.
The digital Roger licences should now be installed, and both hearing aids should be connected to Roger On 3.
Wear both hearing aids.
Place Roger On 3 near another person.
Ask the person to speak.
Confirm that you can hear the Roger signal through both hearing aids.
Pressing the Connect button by itself does not install a digital Roger licence.
Use the two different procedures as follows:
To install a digital Roger licence
Press and hold the multifunction button and Connect button simultaneously for two seconds.
To connect a hearing aid or receiver that already has Roger installed
Place Roger On 3 within approximately 10 cm of the device and briefly press the Connect button once.
The licence may have been installed into only one hearing aid.
Switch off the hearing aid that is working.
Repeat the digital licence installation procedure for the hearing aid that is not receiving Roger.
Wait for the installation confirmation.
Switch both hearing aids on and test the system again.
Do not repeatedly press the Connect button alone when the hearing aid does not yet contain a digital Roger licence. The licence-installation mode must first be activated using the two-button procedure.
